Done with the desert!!!

Well, I know it's been awhile. The Mojave is done! I hiked with a group of 4 other thru hikers (mostly at night) and we got thru the nasty stretch (with some great trail angel support) the last four days saw 25+ mile sections without water, and was true deep desert-only with mountains. I saw literally dozens ans dozens of scorpions, a few snakes (plus a Mojave Green Rattler that we almost stepped on as it was 11pm, and it was hidden perfectly by a bush. Poised to strike (it was kind of cool as I could see the tension in its musculature as it readied to strike (I'm sometimes referred to as 'eagle eyes' by my current hiking partners since I seem to have a knack for spotting all manner of critters on or near the trail in the dark-I find this amusing since I'm usually wearing my glasses at night).
>So, it will prob be two weeks before I can update again...hitting the high Sierra in two days if the Clover Fire doesn't hold us up more. Seems like we are all going back onto our own hiking schedules and splitting up for now.
Oh, hiked one night in the moonlit shadows of giant wind turbines...very surreal, as if I was in a sci-fi novel.
